Samsung One UI 4.1 debuts advanced RAM Plus

Samsung One 4.1 has made a lot of changes to the RAM Plus. As most of you are aware, One UI 4.1 is the latest version of Samsung’s Android software and is pre-installed on the Galaxy S22 series that offers seamless connectivity, intuitive user guidance and lots of intelligent integrations.

Well, with One UI 4.1, things are a little different. That is to say, RAM Plus is a feature that allows you to increase the amount of RAM on your Galaxy device. It’s basically Samsung’s name for virtual memory. Until now, RAM Plus used 4GB of internal storage as virtual memory, so it was adjusted this way.

Surprisingly, the One UI 4.1 is focused on making its key changes. Now you can increase the RAM Plus limit on the Galaxy S22. If you want, you can also use 2GB, 4GB, 6GB and 8GB internal storage. It was the utility we wanted, and Samsung delivered.

Now, since this is the One UI 4.1 feature and not the Galaxy S22-specific feature, many other devices will get it just like the RAM Plus feature in general. This feature has spread like a flame on Samsung phones.

How does Virtual RAM/RAM Plus actually work?

How does RAM Plus actually work? Well, just like Windows allocates a portion of disk storage to be used as virtual RAM, it also uses a portion of your internal storage to increase the amount of RAM. This change initially went under the radar, but it remained in the settings.
