Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 might be first foldable to ship with S Pen slot

Even though Samsung added S Pen support to the Galaxy Z Fold lineup with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 last year, the company did not provide an integrated S Pen slot in the device. As a result, consumers had to buy the Samsung Official S Pen Case to carry the S Pen Fold variant with their devices.

Moreover, Samsung did not ship this device with the S Pen Fold variant, making the whole package a bit costly. However, Samsung now plans to introduce the integrated S Pen in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Samsung to introduce integrated S Pen in Galaxy Z Fold 4

According to a recent report by TheElec, Samsung’s plans say that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will come with an integrated S Pen slot. Furthermore, the report states that the device will have a 7.56-inch foldable display and a 6.19-inch cover screen. This means it’s likely to have a front impression with a 7.55-inch foldable display and a 6.2-inch cover screen, making the integrated S Pen slot an impressive doing.

Likewise, the report suggests that Samsung will use electromagnetic resonance (EMR) technology to attach the digitizer to the OLED panel of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and, therefore, eliminate the need to provide a built-in battery on the S Pen. Since Samsung has already integrated the S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra and plans to do the same in the Galaxy Z Fold 4, a recovery of the Galaxy Note now seems unbelievable.

The report shares some details about the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4, which will feature a 6.7-inch foldable display and a 1.9-inch cover screen. This is only a small improvement over the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which comes with a 6.7-inch foldable display and a 1.83-inch cover screen.
