The US 2021 patents ranking is out and obviously, Samsung is on top!

IFI Claims is a global patent database that provides easy access to high-quality patents. Recently, the organization has released the US patent statistics covering 2021. Samsung ranks second in terms of the number of patents assigned to the company last year.

While Samsung grated a total of 6,366 patents in the course of the year, International Business Machines Corp wins the race with 8,682 patents granted. Excluding these two, the other top ten companies had 2,000 to 3,000 granted patents.

Notably, the US tech giant, Apple was granted 2,541 patents in the US last year, surpassed by only six other companies. Although was granted 250 fewer patents compared to the previous year, moved one place up the rankings in 2021.
