These Google Pixel 7 renders show evolution of design language initiated by Google

A few months after the launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the first renders showing the Pixel 7 Pro came out. The images from trusted leaker Onleaks show (CARHP) the evolution of the design language introduced by Google with the Pixel 6.

Judging by the images, the Pixel 7 looks similar to Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. The changes are subtle, for instance, the rear camera visor now integrates with the frame instead of sitting. Other changes related to the dimensions, the Pixel 7 Pro is estimated to be smaller, thinner, and narrower than the 6 Pro.

It is expected the same 6.7-inch to 6.8-inch curved display, single USB-C port, and dual speakers coming back. The power/lock and volume rocker buttons are on the right. The power/lock button is placed above the volume rocker button, but this is a pixel phone.

However, Google kept the original Pixel design for three generations and eight smartphones, while the Pixel 4 style continues for two generations and up to six smartphones.

Apart from these images, some other Pixel 7 details have come to light from hidden codes in the Android 13 developer preview. The phone is said to be equipped with Google’s Tensor 2 chip paired with the new Samsung Exynos modem.

The Pixel 6 is likely to have insufficient signal performance as a result of the current Exynos modem compared to Samsung and Apple phones that use Qualcomm modems. Hopefully, the new modem will help greatly in improving this.

Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are set to launch this October. While Google generally does not make its advance announcements, more details should come out before then.
