Last month, Samsung released the March 2022 security patch to the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. However, the company has not yet expanded the reach of this new security update to more eligible Galaxy devices. Well, it’s now officially confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series will get the One UI 4.1 alongside March 2022 patch.

According to the latest information, Canadian network carrier Fido mentioned on its software support page that the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, and S21 FE smartphones will start getting the One UI 4.1 update as well as the new security patch from March 15.

While Fido is going to release the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 from March 15, the international variants of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series (S21 FE too) will be able to upgrade to the new One UI iteration sometime in the second week of this month.

Alongside the Galaxy S22 series smartphones, Samsung introduced the first mid-cycle version of its Android 12 skin. The new One UI 4.1 comes with select new and useful features, however, there are no significant changes noted in the user interface.

For your information, it’s expected that the One UI 4.1 will bring the advanced RAM Plus feature for older Galaxy devices, at least flagships, making them able to customize the size of virtual RAM created by occupying the phone’s internal storage up to 8GB.

Just like last year, several Samsung phones and tablets are likely to get the Android 12-based new One UI 4.1 features and changes through firmware updates. It’s also noteworthy that the company has stalled the Android 12 rollout for two months, which is assumed to resume soon.
