Samsung March 2022 security update reaches Galaxy S9

Samsung is slowly expanding its March 2022 Android security patch update to eligible devices and the Galaxy S9 is the latest to grab it. However, this update is only released in Germany at the moment but it will reach other users in the coming days or weeks.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S9 March 2022 update brings fixes to a total of 62 vulnerabilities, exploits, and threats, such as 2 critical, 29 high, and 19 moderate levels of CVEs. At the same time, the company also includes additional 17 SVE items from Google.

If you are a Galaxy S9 or S9+ user in Germany, you might have received the notification for the fresh update. In case, you haven’t, navigate Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install. Your phone will check for new software rollouts, click on Download now, if available.

Furthermore, the installation procedure may take some time to complete the package unpacking. So, keep patience and let the phone install this software update. Once, installed the phone will reboot and start initial apps optimizations.
