Samsung One UI 4.1 brings Advanced S Pen’s Air Command with Galaxy S22 Ultra

Samsung has officially introduced the high-end smartphone product line Galaxy S22 series namely Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. The trio of Galaxy S22 versions not only has a strong upgrade in configuration with the first appearance of the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor on a Galaxy smartphone, but also an improved camera cluster.

In addition, the re-emergence of the innovative Super S Pen on the Galaxy S22 Ultra will help users write powerful night stories. With the creative S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, users are empowered not only to enter the night vision but also to create new ways to turn the night into a great platform for creativity, revealing its full potential.

This is surprising that you can use your Galaxy S21 Ultra or Galaxy S22 Ultra with the S Pen! Create handwritten notes on Samsung Notes, take screenshots and GIFs with Smart Select, and create your favorite photos with the AR Doodle.

Your S Pen gives you access to features such as screenwriting and Live messaging in the Air Command menu, perfect for sending personalized notes to friends and family.

To be noted, on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the S Pen comes integrated with the phone. However, for the S21 Ultra, the S Pen is an optional accessory and does not come with the phone. You can buy the S21 S pen separately. The S Pen is not compatible with any other model in the Galaxy S series.

Using S Pen’s Air command on your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra!

The S Pen’s Air Command menu allows you to access many useful features such as Screen write, Translate, and Bixby Vision. To open the Air Command menu, just hover the S pen on the screen, then press the Pen button on its side. Below are the features you will find in the Air Command menu by default.

• Create Note: Open the Samsung Notes app to create notes with your S Pen.
• View all notes: Open the Samsung Notes app and view your saved notes.
• Smart select: Collect content on your screen and also make your own GIFs. Please see the next section for more information on Smart select.
• Screen write: Draw or write on the current screen.
• Live message: Create emojis, GIFs, or handwritten messages that can be sent to others.
• AR Doodle: Draw or write AR text on your camera’s viewfinder in real-time!
• Translate: Translate text by hovering your S Pen over a word.
• Note: Currencies and units can be converted in accordance with the system language that you’re currently using.
• PENUP: Get creative with your S Pen by sketching pictures and coloring on a template.
• Add shortcuts (the plus sign): Add shortcuts to the Air command menu for your frequently used apps.
• Settings icon: Turn the S Pen feature on or off by tapping the switch.
