Samsung to help app developers to test their apps on its latest flagships, Samsung has now added the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series devices to its Remote Test Lab. Samsung regularly adds new devices to the RTL service to assure that app developer can test their apps on the latest Samsung hardware.

For those unfamiliar, Samsung’s Remote Test Lab (RTL) service provides app developers with a way to test their apps on the original Galaxy devices connected to the cloud, up and down in a rollout. Last year, the company added its flagship Galaxy S21 series to the RTL service along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

And now, the company has added the recently introduced Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to the list.

Using the service, developers can now remotely install APK files on Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series devices, select the language in which they want to test their apps and even download the APK files.

How to use RTL service on your Galaxy S22 and Tab s8?

To use the service, all you need is a reliable internet connection, a free Samsung Developer’s Account, Java Runtime Environment 7 or later installed Java Web Start, and you’re well-advised to continue.

It should be noted that the service has some limitations, including audio, additional peripherals, multi-touch, and the fact that the camera is not supported. Samsung gives developers 20 credits per day for using the RTL service, receiving a maximum of 5 hours of remote access per day.
