Over the years, Samsung’s TouchWiz interface has been bullied beyond imagination. Since the launch of One UI a few years ago, the Samsung interface quickly became a favorite on Android for Galaxy users, because it basically matches many advanced features though.

Samsung One UI 4.1 on the Galaxy S22 Ultra does just that, making the software experience better, while at the same time doing a good job of retaining many of the features built into all Android 12 smartphones.

Notable changes include amazing theming support, customizable colors, and an overall impressive design. Samsung OneUI 4.1 offers the Galaxy experience on devices running, which means you can pick up any Galaxy device and get the same experience you used.

Samsung One UI 4.1 Improved Privacy Features

One of the new features in One UI 4.1 is the Privacy Dashboard, which allows you to view and control what information your apps use. If you’re tired of every app on your phone stealing your data, the Privacy Dashboard allows you to see which features are accessing which app.

This makes Galaxy users not worried about which app accesses my phone, but the information in the Privacy Dashboard – displayed when you access the Privacy section in Settings, is very interesting and users may have already tried and only disabled the location for some apps when launched. In this way, the Privacy Dashboard seems to be achieving its goal.

Going forward, One UI 4.1 also introduced the Samsung Digital Wallet, which now holds your vaccine information along with Samsung Pay. This is Samsung’s attempt to provide a legitimate competitor to the Apple Wallet and, in short, it’s going to be the best challenge, as Samsung is the only Android maker with a sufficient scale.

One UI 4 Privacy Features

Samsung One UI 4 also comes with further features to protect your data and privacy. Direct notifications of application camera and microphone usage allow you to easily disable permissions.

Elsewhere in One UI 4.0, the Samsung app also has an enhanced Privacy Dashboard with a warning indicator when using a Camera or Microphone as well as a list of any apps that have recently requested permission. It is very easy to navigate and provides a very clear overview of the in-depth workings of your phone software.

Now you will get a pop-up in all the apps requesting if you want to receive notifications. This can be a little annoying, but it’s better than turning on notifications or closing all apps automatically.

If there is a problem, you will also get a pop-up every time the app asks you to use your location. You can choose between the exact locations or approximate locations of each application. For apps that only need to know your general location, such as weather apps, you can allow access to your location so they can pinpoint your exact location.

Privacy seems to be a major issue for Google in the Android 12 update, so we want to explain these great new privacy features in Samsung’s One UI 4 software.
