Published

Google is working to add new chips toolbar for Photos, which aims to make up speed while using the Google Lens. Meanwhile, the Google Photos app offers integration with Lens to handle text within two self-captured images, as well as screenshots.

The company is working to make it more accurate by making a new chip shortcut to direct text in an image. However, you will experience more documentation with options including ‘Copy Text’, ‘Listen, ‘Crop’, and ‘Markup’. These new options make them all visible and easier to access.

Alongside, Google Lens has also added a shortcut to search. However, The Lens shortcut is already a permanent option in the pinned toolbar. It’s going to evolve over time, but it seems a little strange that there are two identical shortcuts in this added toolbar.

This new floating toolbar is probably part of a wider A / B test of the Photos UI. An additional benefit is that those unfamiliar with alternative editing tools are likely to be familiar with them.

So, users if you wanted to experience this new shortcut feature then you might compromise with your data to install the latest version of Google Photos. The update is released gradually so you can wait for some time to get it on your devices, check it through the Play Store.
