Samsung Galaxy S21 March 2022 security update starts releasing in the US

Samsung started releasing the March 2022 Android security patch updates for its eligible devices in February itself. So far, many Galaxy phones have received this update, now the Galaxy S21 is the latest to grab it in the United States.

As of now, the Samsung Galaxy S21 March 2022 update is released for the carrier-unlocked variants of smartphones. And, almost all US network carriers including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Verizon, and Xfinity mobile are releasing it.

The following are the updated version numbers of the Galaxy S21 update:

  • Galaxy S21 – G991U1UES5BVC1
  • Galaxy S21+ – G996U1UES5BVC1
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra – G998U1UES5BVC1

What’s new:

Samsung Galaxy S21 March 2022 update mainly brings improvements to the security and stability of your device’s system to provide you with seamless performance.

At the same time, it also brings fixes to a total of 62 vulnerabilities, exploits, and threats including critical, high, and moderate. However, the official support page mentions that this update fixes 2 critical, 29 high, and 19 moderate levels of CVEs.

You can download this software update through the Settings of your smartphone. From here tap on Software updates then Download and install. The device will check for available updates. Click on Download now, if available.
