Samsung Internet 17 Beta brings Smart Anti-tracking, Live text, custom tap group support

Samsung smartphone users don’t need to download any third-party application for web browsing as the company has already offered it. Samsung Internet Browser comes pre-installed with all Galaxy devices that include Internet Video Assistant, Dark Mode, Customize Menus, and more to protect your privacy for the best web browsing experience.

To enjoy the new feature before the stable release, there’s also the Samsung Internet Beta app to get an early build of the upcoming release. According to the latest information, the company is releasing a new beta update with version V17 for this app that brings some new features and improvements including Smart Anti-tracking, custom tap groups, Live text, and more.

The latest beta update adds custom tab groups support which helps you can organize with a simple drag and drop. Also, users can now select text in images using the new built-in Live Text feature. To use this feature, just need to long-press, then choose Live text and the phone will recognize the words and copy them to the clipboard.

Samsung Internet Browser Beta v17 comes with an AI-powered Smart Anti-tracking feature. Back in 2021, Samsung announced this feature which is actually a series of privacy measures that uses device machines learning track cookies, block malicious ads and more. This feature is set as a default for the Samsung devices in the US, Korea, and Europe. If you find this feature not so useful then you can disable this feature through Settings.
