Various Samsung Galaxy A52s users facing issues after upgrading to One UI 4.0
Last year’s Galaxy A52s 5G is one of the best mid-range smartphones from Samsung. The device gained huge success and was loved by users. But it looks like the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update destroyed some functionalities of the device.
Samsung Galaxy A52s users started getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in early January. As this was a major OS update, it brought a wide array of new features and enhancements to the device. Still, users are reporting multiple problems that they are facing on their phones.

According to the Samsung community members, problems like stuttering and janky animations, degraded camera performance, auto-brightness behaving erratically, issues with proximity sensor during calls, usually high battery drain, etc are killing the performance of their phones.
There are many statements that claim performance degradation after installing the Android 12 (via XDA). Still, there’s no official response on this matter. The devices have since received the February 2022 as well as March 2022 Android security patches, unfortunately, these updates also did not install the fixes.
The issues seem to have occurred because Samsung was too quick to release the One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy A52s and didn’t spend much time beta testing.
Further, Samsung Galaxy A52 has already received the One UI 4.1 – an upgrade over One UI 4.0. While the Galaxy A52s could be one of the next mid-range devices to get it. We expect that at least the One UI 4.1 can fix these serious issues.
Till then, we suggest that if your Galaxy A52s 5G smartphone is running on One UI 3.x, you should not upgrade to One UI 4.0. However, if you have already installed the update and facing problems on your smartphone, keep calm, the issues may soon be acknowledged by the company.
