Samsung Galaxy S21 getting April 2022 security update in the US
Following the Galaxy S22, Samsung started to roll out the April 2022 Android security patch update for the Galaxy S21 smartphone users a couple of days ago. The update was first released in European markets and now it’s expanding for the carrier-unlocked models in the US.
Identified via the One UI build versions G991U1UES5CVCB, G996U1UES5CVCB, and G998U1UES5CVCB for your Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra respectively, the fresh update mainly focuses on improving system security and stability.

To be mentioned, Samsung April 2022 security patch comes with fixes for various levels of CVEs from Google including 27 high and 18 moderate levels. Notably, no critical CVE is mentioned in the released details.
Further, the security patch also protects your phone from bugs and viruses to further enhance the users’ experience. Besides these, there’s nothing that the changelog mentions, you might notice some minor improvements after installing it.
Moving on, the Samsung Galaxy S21 April 2022 update is currently rolling out on AT&T and Xfinity Mobile’s networks in the US. However, other carriers are expected to release the update shortly.
How to install manually:
Make sure that you backup your important data, so you won’t lose any important files. Although the upgrade procedure won’t replace or remove any of the corresponding data from your smartphone, it’s recommended to do so for extra safety measures.
To check and download the Samsung Galaxy S21 April 2022 update, head over to the Setting of your smartphone. Now enter the Software update option and click Download and install. Wait for the device to check available active and finally tap Download now. You can click Install now or Schedule install when the update is downloaded.
