The One UI 4.1 and OxygenOS 12 are two of the custom skins based on Android 12 operating system. While the former is quite famous as it powers millions of Galaxy phones, the latter is created by tough Samsung rival – OnePlus.

Quick Settings and Notification Panels are the most used features of smartphones and OEMs are countinuously trying to further enhance the overall usability. In this article, we are going to take an overview on the Quick Settings and Notification Panel features of the One UI 4.1 and OxygenOS 12.

By swiping down on the homescreen, we get access to the Notification Panel on both, Samsung’s One UI 4.1 and OnePlus’ OxygenOS 12 software systems. Here, the consumer can check notifications in brief format, however, there are no similarities between both UIs that we are comparing today.

With the Android 12-based One UI 4 and OxygenOS 12, Samsung and OnePlus, both, tried to further enhance the usability of the Notification Panel. As you can see in the images below, the One UI 4.1 delivers a neat and clean interface, while the OxygenOS 12 has fancy toggles arrangement.

Quick Settings: One UI 4.1 x OxygenOS 12

Quick Settings, on the other hand, is a common yet most useful feature on any smartphone. This section contains toggles for a number of tools, features, as well as features settings. Directly from there, you can enable/disable various functionalities, seamlessly.

Overall form factor of the Quick Settings section of the One UI 4.1 and OxygenOS 12 seems similar. However, the One UI 4.1 showcases toggles on full screen with transparent background, the OxygenOS 12 has those toggles in a boxed layout, while background features solid color.

One UI 4.1 x OxygenOS 12, which one is better?

Unquestionably, Samsung One UI 4.1 comes with neat and clean Notification Panel and Quick Settings toggles, compared to the OxygenOS 12. At the same time, the Colour Palette adoption seems improved yet useful on the One UI, whle there’s no major effect of that feature for the OnePlus devices.
