New Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 update brings April 2022 security patch in the US

It’s over a couple of weeks since Samsung started releasing the April 2022 security patch updates to its devices. Multiple Galaxy phones including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has received update in various regions around the world.

In a recent development, Samsung has begun pushing the April 2022 Android security patch update for the US’s Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone owners. This update primarily improves the security and reliability of the system alongside protecting it from bugs and viruses.

Additionally, Samsung’s April 2022 security patch fixes a total of 88 vulnerabilities and exploits from Samsung and Google in order to further boost the phone’s performance. However, the official support page mentions 27 high and 18 moderate levels of CVEs fixes.

These vulnerabilities are related to improper access controls in S Secure, Samsung Contacts app, Knox Manage, StroageManager, StroageManagerService, One UI Home, Samsung DeX Home, and more.

Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 April 2022 update is released for the US unlocked models. While it’s expected that the company won’t take much time to spread the update to more users in different countries.

As of now, you can identify the fresh firmware for this device through the Oen UI build version F916U1UES2GVC8. And, to download it, go to Settings of your smartphone then Software update >> Download and install. Now follow the on-screen prompt to get access to the latest changes.
