Samsung connecting communities and connecting lives
Samsung continues to create new milestones and strive for a diverse and inclusive workforce with co-prosperity and people are always at the heart of Samsung values.
Samsung recognized April to celebrate as the month of diversity and national volunteer week from April 17 to April 23, 2022. To acknowledge those who voluntarily help in building a better future within its communities.
This is the 12th annual week of service, having donated over 145,000 hours nationwide since Samsung group launched the program in 2014.
One of the recognized volunteers by Samsung says that ” For me, the most meaningful part of volunteering is connecting with others and understanding the needs in my community through hands-on experience.
The most important part of Samsung volunteering is touching people’s lives, even if it is for a short time. An individual could be a smaller part of the effort but the large group of employees and citizens outside of work are collectively making a large impact through their service to others.
Samsung getting involved to learn more about someone or a diverse group is truly eye-opening in the struggle they may be facing and the challenges they may had overcome. Which we may be taking for granted.
Volunteering allows Samsung an opportunity to connect with the community and with the people makes a real difference. It is a humble experience that affords a chance to interact better.
Such activities direct the Korean tech giant to focus on advocating for change and empowering and encouraging those who are underserved, so they can reach their full potential.
Day of Service
As April 2022 comes to an end, Samsung is continuing to engage in volunteering activities that create meaningful change in diverse communities throughout the year.
Samsung is dedicated to pioneering positive social impact through acts of service that encourage people to think about the surrounding communities outside your particular organization and represent those who have no voice.
The company is eager to continue working together to build a better and more inclusive future for all. The month of diversity offers different ways to learn about diversity and ask questions to form a new relationships in various communities.
