Samsung increasing the heat, spontaneous battery explosion could have killed the lady
Samsung smartphone caused the spontaneous combustion could have destroyed the ladies’ home at Garner, in North Carolina, America.
The WRALTV reportedly revealed that the Garner woman feels lucky to find her home safe, after all the smoke and flames. Looking at the explosion, remaining burns, and ashes, She says the danger is something you have in your home or maybe in your pocket right now.
She told the reporter that “This must be a battery, that has burnt to a crisp.” The scorch marks are clearly visible, where the phone is kept. Further, she told the reporter that the phone was extremely hot. It might have probably gone ‘Boom!” and caught fire.
She then grabbed the phone and threw it out of her home, where it left a burnt mark on the deck outside.
The explosion by the Samsung cell phone that randomly exploded on her countertop was really bad enough that the nearby fire department’s control room heard the exploding sound and responded quickly.
What did Samsung say about the explosion?
In a statement Samsung said: Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of all the mobile devices that are being sold and used in the U.S. At present moment nothing can be said about the accident until the investigation is completed.
They have reached the ladies’ home to retrieve the device and learn more about the specifics behind this experience.
The Lady told Samsung that the phone has not shown any signs of danger neither it was plugged to charge at the time of the fire.
Fire Investigator also told looking at the signs of the explosion and burning mark reveals that this was the case of the mobile malfunctioning and nothing else. But it’s good to know that the Garner lady was not at home when the phone exploded.
Possible reasons could be that the device is older, or might not have recent software updates, because previously we have discussed that If the phone software is not updated, proper battery performance could not be achieved, and this would be the only reason that such a device catches fire resulting in the battery overheating and explosion.
