It’s just the 26th of April, and Samsung has already deployed its May 2022 security patch to the Galaxy S22 series devices in South Korea. While the Android maker is still busy developing the new security patch firmware for its negligible Pixel models (LOL!), Samsung has begun its amazing rollout.

Usually, Google releases the new security patch update for its Pixel devices within the first week of every month. Meanwhile, Samsung is killing it with the world’s fastest security patch OTA deployment, every month, for the past 18 months.

Samsung brings faster security patch than Google

It’s worth mentioning that the Korean tech giant will disclose the details of its May 2022 security patch, sometime in the first week of next month. Until then, I’m surely expecting the May 2022 update arrival for more Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S21, and 2022 A series devices.

Security patches play a key role when it comes to keeping the consumers’ personal data secure against threats and exploits. At the same time, Samsung includes new features and bug fixes with the new OTAs in order to further enhance the user experiences while keeping Galaxy devices.

Aside from the security patch rollout ahead of Google, Samsung has also amazed Galaxy consumers with the major Android 12 OS update distribution. To be noted, the Galaxy S21 series started to receive the new Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update just a month after Pixel devices.
