Samsung One UI 4.1 ‘Write on Calendar’ S Pen Feature [Galaxy S22 Ultra]

Since the launch of the first Samsung Galaxy Note in 2011, mobile professionals have been using the S Pen to write, comment, and highlight their way through the workday. But, after leaving the Note line, Samsung brought its stylus to other flagships, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 Ultra, but with one exception – no space to keep the stylus.

With the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Samsung S not only offers the Note 20 Ultra-like design to hold the S Pen but also provides better latency to match the pen and paper-like feel. You can use the S Pen remotely to control your camera with gestures, play music and media, rotate presentation slides, and more.

However, if you are new to the S pen or have been using it for a long time, you can learn to write on a calendar using the One UI 4.1 S Pen features provided by the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

One UI 4.1 write on Calendar S Pen Feature

This One UI 4.1 write-on Samsung Calendar S Pen feature is useful when you want to quickly compose a note on a specific date in the Samsung Calendar without taking the time to go into the app and create a reminder. This is basically the scribble layer on top of the calendar.

Thanks for writing on the calendar, you can also share your schedule easily. This smart shortcut opens your calendar for the current month, where you can add notes and share them instantly.

Or do you want to share your upcoming availability for the meeting? Remove your S pen, tap the pen icon to open the Air Command menu, and select Write to Calendar. Your calendar opens instantly with a set of annotation tools. Circle or block dates, add your notes and hit save.

Write to the calendar can be accessed directly when you are in the monthly planner view by tapping the pen icon in the upper right corner of the calendar app. After syncing your schedule quickly, you can return to the day’s events.

Ultra Tip: Write to the calendar mentioned here in your Air Command shortcut menu, or if you do not see any of the other tools, click the Add icon at the bottom of the menu and drag it to your shortcut bar.
