The latest May 2022 security patch is based on One UI 4.1 software, which was distributed to the Galaxy S21 series devices in March. The new Android 12-based iteration comes with various new features and major performance improvements for the Galaxy smartphones.

Samsung is offering monthly security patches to the Galaxy S21 series since the day of its launch. The same treatment will be available until five years, however, the company will shift these devices from Monthly to Quarterly and Quarterly to Biannual lists in the future.

Coming back, you can check for the new May 2022 security update on your Galaxy S21 smartphone, in case you are living in Europe. To do so, open your phone’s Settings, followed by Software updates and Download and install.
