Samsung April 2022 security update is now rolling out for these Galaxy devices

Once again, Samsung swiftly defeated the Android maker by first releasing the April 2022 security patch to Galaxy smartphones. The latest Android patches release brings fixes to dozens of exploits and CVEs/SVEs that are yet to be detailed.

Meanwhile, Samsung is continuously expanding the reach of its April 2022 security patch to more of the eligible Galaxy devices across the planet. At the same time, phones and tablets are also getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update, which brings a slew of additional features.

At the Galaxy Unpacked 2022, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series will be eligible for five years of regular security patches. While select 2022 Galaxy A series devices are also getting the same treatment, older Galaxies are still compatible with four years of new security patches.
