Samsung Galaxy A20 getting April 2022 security update in the US

Launched back in 2019, Samsung Galaxy A20′s major software update support ends with the Android 11 update last year. However, the device is still eligible to get quarterly security patch updates. And now, Samsung has started rolling out the April 2022 Android security patch for the users.

Samsung Galaxy A20 April 2022 update comes with One UI build version A205FXXSACVC1. It is released in the United States markets at the moment, but as soon as the company ensures its stability, it will make a wider rollout in every country.

Furthermore, the update installs improved and enhanced security and reliability for the corresponding smartphone’s system. It also protects your phone from bugs and viruses in order to provide you with seamless performance and maintain users’ experience.

While the changelog for the update doesn’t mention any new features or major changes, Samsung’s April 2022 patch detail mentions fixes for around 88 privacy and security-related issues and exploits. These include 27 high and 18 moderate levels of CVEs.

If you live in the US and are using a Galaxy A20 model and haven’t yet received the notification for the update, you can check it manually. To do this, navigate Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. In order to download it, follow the on-screen prompts.
