May 2, 2022: United States
Samsung has started expanding its May 2022 security patch to more of the eligible Galaxy devices, with which, the Galaxy Note 20 is the latest entry, starting from the US. Recently, the company has released a new software update for the Unlocked Galaxy Note 20 series devices in the United States.
Apart from the May 2022 security patches, the latest OTA doesn’t bring any significant changes or add-on features for the Galaxy Note 20 lineup. Meanwhile, it’s important to mention that the same treatment has already been given to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Tab S8, and Galaxy S21 series.
Samsung has not yet revealed the May 2022 security patch details on its official support page. However, the company may surely share the security bulletin by the end of this week. It’s expected to include fixes for different levels of CVEs and SVEs including critical, high and moderate.
In case you are using a Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra without carrier-boundation in the US, try checking for the latest May 2022 security update manually by navigating to your phone’s Settings, followed by Software updates and Download and install.
