Samsung One UI 4.1: How to use digital assistant Bixby?

Bixby is Samsung digital assistant that itself works as an interface, which helps you to do touchless and handsfree operations with convenience. You can talk with Bixby or type a text to communicate.

How to start Bixby?

Samsung smartphone comes with a dedicated Bixby button. You just need to press and hold the side key to launch it. The Bixby intro page will appear. After that, you can select the language to use with Bixby from the top right language option visible on your smartphone screen.

you first need to sign in to your Samsung account, to complete the setup follow the instructions that appear on the Bixby screen. Finally, you are on the application page, where you can long-press and hold the side key to talk to Bixby.

Say, hello Bixby! and ask, how is the weather today? Bixby will reply with all the weather information available for your area. Bixby has multiple communication options, you can speak, you can text, and if you are using headphones or a Bluetooth audio device, you can say hello or hi Bixby.

Thanks to the recent Bixby updates, now no need to say, Hello or Hi Bixby every single time, Now you can straightly instruct the digital assistant by saying short verbiage, as to how’s the weather around me? etc.

Go to settings, choose automatic listening options, and opt for Hand-free only. If you are at a conference and want to avoid voice communication with the digital assistant. Just open the app and tap on the text area to type. Bixby will reply through text.

Bixby can be utilized in two types, Bixby Vision and Routine. The Bixby Vision recognizes the text from your document or images and translates and extracts it. Additionally can search the similar information online.

On the other hand, the Bixby routine observes your repetitive usage pattern and helps perform your actions accordingly. Such as turning on silent mode or dark mode when you are going to bed. You can add more routines through the advanced features option in Bixby routines.
