Google Android 13 public beta is live for Pixel users with a clear idea of the new features and functions coming to Android devices later this year. Meanwhile, Samsung and the flavor of its One UI 5.0 will bring more customization options to the Galaxy device owners.

Android 13 will come with a very useful feature called auto-delete clipboard history, according to the beta update. And since the One UI 5.0 will be based on Android 13, we expect the same from Samsung.

Samsung One UI 5.0 Auto-delete clipboard history

One UI 5.0 adds a new clipboard auto-clear feature to delete the primary clip from the global clipboard after a set amount of time. This feature is similar to Gboard, which currently uses Android’s clipboard service to automatically clear any clipboard item after a set duration.

Android 12 One UI 4 introduced a new clipboard access alerts feature to notify users when any app accessed text, images, or other content from the clipboard. Whereas, with the Android 13 One UI 5, things will go a step further by giving users the option to automatically clear the primary clip to prevent other apps from accessing it.

This feature might not be enabled by default. Once enabled, it can automatically clear the primary clip from the global clipboard after 1 hour, much like Gboard. But while Gboard doesn’t let you change the duration after which the clip is cleared, the Android 13 One UI 5.0 auto-delete clipboard history will give you that option.
