Samsung releases 2nd June 2022 patch for Galaxy S21 with 7 stock app updates

In late May, Samsung started to release the June 2022 Android security update for the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra smartphones that installed some system improvements. The company has now begun releasing the 2nd June patch update for the Galaxy S21 series phones in Europe.

This 2nd June 2022 update for Galaxy S21 aims at further improving the system security and stability. This might have also fixed some issues that arrived with the first update to provide users with seamless performance and enhance their experiences.

The changelog on the other hand also mentions upgrades for 7 stock apps that will help in improving the device’s performance and functionality in every aspect. The list of updated applications is as follows.

  • Galaxy Wearable
  • Samsung Health
  • SmartThings
  • Samsung Members
  • Samsung Pay
  • Calculator
  • Voice Recorder

Besides these, the company’s June 2022 security patch details mention fixes for 66 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities and exploits. These include 5 Critical, 39 High, and 1 Moderate level of CVEs from Samsung and Google.

You can identify the 2nd June 2022 update for your Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones through the One UI version G991BXXU5CVF2, G996BXXU5CVF2, and G998BXXU5CVF2 respectively.

To check and download the update manually, enter the Settings of your phone followed by a Software update and Download and install options. Finally, hit on Download button >> Install now/Schedule install >> Restart.
