If the report is true and Samsung brings support for thousands of extra IoT devices and smart home appliances, the SmartThings will be evolved into a big platform. In addition, the company is also expected to demonstrate this high level of interconnectivity at IFA 2022.

Here’s what HCA Chairman Choi Yun-ho said:

“Unlike the home IoT communication standard Matter to be announced in September, which is linked at the device level, HCA is linked at the platform unit, the range of connection between devices is wide, and the target is also large home appliances. Ease of use is greater.”
