Samsung has begun rolling out a new software update for Galaxy A42 5G smartphones that installs the latest July 2022 Android security patch. This update mainly focuses on improving system security and stability, at the same time, optimizing its performance.

According to the company’s released July 2022 patch details, this update also fixes 41 vulnerabilities and exposures (SVE) items to provide users with seamless performance. These relate to Samsung Finder, Wearable Manager Installer, Contacts storage, the Messages app, Knoxguard lock, and more.

Besides these, there is nothing that the official changelog mentions. Samsung is releasing the Galaxy A42 July 2022 update for the carrier-locked unit in the US. And as usual, the company will not take much time to spread the update widely.

You can now identify the fresh software update for your Galaxy A42 5G through the One UI build version A426U1UES4BVF1. In case you want to check it manually on your device, head over to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. Samsung Galaxy A42 One UI 5.0

Samsung launched the Galaxy A42 5G smartphones with Android 10 OS pre-installed. So far, the device has received two major software updates such as Android 11-based One UI 3 and Android 12-based One UI 4.

One UI 4.1 is the latest custom software for the phone while it is also eligible for the upcoming Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update, which will be its last major OS. Samsung will officially release the first One UI 5.0 beta in the coming month and this device is expected to get a stable update in early 2023.
