Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 clears NBTC certification

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series will launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10. The company has made a significant change this year by replacing the Classic model with the Pro. There’s will be three models in the lineup including Watch 5 (40mm), Watch 5 (44mm), and Watch 5 Pro.

Ahead of the launch, the devices get certified by various important databases. In a recent development, all three Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 models have cleared the NBTC (Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) certification.

The certification site clearly mentions the devices’ names along with their model numbers, such as Galaxy Watch 5 (SM-R905F), Galaxy Watch 5 (SM-R915F), and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (SM-R925F).

Other than the names and model numbers, the certification site doesn’t disclose any other information about the wearables. However, visiting on NBTC certification site is an important step taken before the launch of any phone. It hints that we might soon see the devices.

Galaxy Watch 5 One UI Watch 4.5

The Galaxy Z4 series will come with a new version of OS – Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1. Alike this, Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Watch 5 series with a new Watch OS that is Wear OS 3.5-based One UI Watch 4.5.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic is already running the One UI Watch 4.5 beta. This reveals many of the upcoming features, such as the ability to choose SIM, new accessibility options, better fine-tuning for audio, and many more.
