Future Samsung mid-rangers to feature less camera sensors

So far, Samsung offered cheaper and mid-range smartphones with up to four rear cameras, however, it won’t be continued as the company is reportedly considering lessening the camera sensor numbers for its 2023 mid-rangers including the Galaxy A24, A34, and even the A54.

As per a TheElec report, Samsung is reportedly planning to ditch the depth-sensing camera sensor from its upcoming mid-range smartphones. This change will be applied to the Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy A54. It means these devices will have only three sensors including main, ultrawide, and macro.

Moreover, the report suggests that the Galaxy A24 will use a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. Aside from this, the Galaxy A34 could feature a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera.

Talking about the Galaxy A54, it might be equipped with three camera sensors including a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro camera. The report mentioned the lesser camera resolution of the ultra-wide camera for the Galaxy A54, which could be a typing error as it doesn’t sound right at all.

Following this, the South Korean phone maker is trying to reduce the overall price of smartphones so they can compete with their Chinese rivals and become cost-friendly. As of now, we don’t have much information about Samsung’s future plans, however, we will keep you notified.
