Android 13 launch delaying Samsung One UI 5 Beta program?

Samsung was said to launch the first Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta in the third week of July. But we are at the end of July, and there is still no indication when the company will launch the One UI 5.0 beta program for its Galaxy device owners.

Google, on the other hand, yesterday rolled out the Android 13 Beta 4.1, which brings fixes for several issues for the Pixel device owners. It looks like Android 13 still needs some corrections and that is why Samsung is delaying the One UI 5 beta program.

With the release of the fourth Android 13 Beta update, the US tech giant announced that the final version would be released next, however, it pushed a minor update with fixes for several issues. It suggests, that some bugs and issues had to be fixed for a Stable/Public Android 13 release for the Pixels.

We know, that Samsung conducts its independent One UI Beta program for Galaxy devices. Last year, the company initiated the Beta program sometime near the stable Android 12 rollout for Pixels. However, we can assume that an additional minor Android 13 Beta update has delayed the One UI 5 Beta program.

One UI 5 beta released internally:

Earlier this month, it was found that the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta went live for Samsung employees internally. The builds were made for the Galaxy S22 series and were apparently released to take feedback from the tester so that it won’t cause any issues when released publically.

Going ahead, folks over at 9to5Google managed to share a One UI 5 Beta features screenshot revealing changes that arrived in the initial build for the Galaxy S22 series devices. Still, there’s nothing arrived from Samsung’s side, while we are guessing the One UI 5 Beta program announcement by the end of July.

Stay tuned.
