Good Lock is a set of modules that add features to Samsung smartphones while increasing the degree of customization. One of its modules is Edge Touch which automatically ignores some touches to prevent unwanted interactions while you’re holding the phone.

Samsung Edge Touch allows you to set some areas wherein your taps and swipes won’t work. The good thing is that it doesn’t just go with a pick-and-activate menu so you can set how wide and tall the edge zone is, although there is a certain limit that the app sets.

This feature works in both portrait and landscape screen modes on your Galaxy phone. Additionally, you can name your customized Edge Zone so whenever you want to use it, you can just activate it with a click.
Here’s how to prevent Samsung Galaxy phone from unintended screen touches using Googd Lock Edge Touch module.
Samsung Good Lock Edge Touch
Insensitive Zone
You can adjust the insensitive zone, the content on the insensitive zone won’t be allowed to touch.
- X-Direction
- Y-Direction
After adjusting the insensitive zone, the user can test the grip zone by touching the screen.
Grip Zone
EdgeTouch also helps you to customize the grip zone to those content where the grip zone won’t be touched when the phone is held.
How to set Edge Zones?
- Head over to the Good Lock app.
- In the Family section, enter the Edge Touch module.
- You will be greeted with the menu Add Edge zone.
- You can adjust the blocked zone by sliding the adjuster (white circle with 4-direction arrows) vertically and horizontally.
- You will be assigned to adjust the grip zone.
- Repeat the same process to adjust the blocked and grip zone for landscape screen orientation.
