Qualcomm will power Samsung flagships worldwide, S23 confirmed!

With the Galaxy S22 series flagships, Samsung has heavily increased the use of Qualcomm chipsets, while, the latest multiyear agreement confirms that the former will further expand usage of Snapdragon chipset, and it’s aimed to be over 76% on Galaxy S23 series.

According to the information, Qualcomm Prez and CEO – Cristiano Amon confirmed that Snapdragon will power upcoming Samsung flagships including the Galaxy S23 series, worldwide. The official disclosed that the Korean tech giant used around 75% Snapdragon chips for the Galaxy S22, while it could go beyond.

“And what I can say at this point is we were 75% on Galaxy S22 before the agreement. You should be thinking about we’re going to be much better than that on Galaxy S23 and beyond.”

The report reveals that Qualcomm and Samsung have reached a multiyear agreement that will bring upcoming Galaxy devices with Snapdragon chipsets globally. It suggests the Korean tech maker is likely to discontinue Exynos chipsets until its Galaxy-exclusive chip could arrive by 2025.

The US chipmaker revealed that the use of Snapdragon chipsets was about 40% before the agreement, while it climbed up to 75% with the Galaxy S22 series phones. Following this agreement, Qualcomm chips will debut with future Samsung flagships across the globe, instead of Exynos ones.

Processor is undoubtedly a crucial part of any smartphone, which works as a brain and matters for performance, reliability, power efficiency and so on. Using the famous Snapdragon SoCs, the South Korean tech giant will surely expand its reach to even more parts of the world.
