Samsung Galaxy S20 users are currently getting an August 2022 security update in various regions, which is based on One UI 4.1. Now, according to the latest information from the One UI Test Build Detection app – Checkfirm, the One UI build is currently being tested on the Galaxy S20 smartphone. To be mentioned, the testing for a major One UI update is conducted in Germany as the Samsung Germany code is DBT.

In the above screenshot, you can clearly see the One UI build has been on test on the Galaxy S20 Plus with the PDA version G986BXXUEGVG4. Right now, we don’t have any information that which One UI version is testing on this smartphone.

It is not confirmed whether it is Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 or Android 13-based One UI 5.0, but we can expect from today’s information that the release is near.

One UI 4.1.1

Samsung is going to release One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L on August 10 at Galaxy Unpacked event. This One UI version will firstly come with the upcoming two foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Based on Android 12L, One UI 4.1.1 will bring significant features and improvements. Notably, several stock apps including Galaxy Themes, One Hand Operation +, Nice Catch, MutilStar, and Home Up already received One UI 4.1.1 support.

One UI 5.0
