Starting today, Samsung began the Self-Repair program for Galaxy customers in the USA. Initially, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 series, and the Galaxy Tab S7+ device users can access the Self-Repair program webpage to purchase parts and iFixit repair tools, however, it’s available only in the USA.

The South Korean tech giant revealed the idea behind the self-repair program, which is to let Galaxy fans extend the life of their devices, promote a circular economy, and minimize e-waste. To make it all possible and user-friendly, the company partnered with iFixit.

Where to purchase parts and tools?

You can purchase genuine device parts and convenient, easy-to-use repair tools, available through iFixit, Samsung 837, and Samsung retail and service locations, at the same pricing offered to the company’s affiliated repair providers.

As of now, Samsung device users can replace the phone screen, back glass, and charging ports. In the future, the company plans to expand self-repair to include more phones and tablets as well as repair options from its extensive product portfolio.

Mark Williams, Vice President of Customer Care at Samsung Electronics America said:

“Samsung is continually offering more convenient options for consumers to extend the use of their devices, promote a circular economy, and minimize e-waste. Samsung Self-Repair is another way for customers to prolong the life of their devices, before they are recycled.”
