It’s Official: Samsung starts Android 13 One UI 5 Beta for Galaxy S22
Update (August 05, 2022): After Germany, Samsung has officially started the One UI 5.0 Beta Program for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones in Korea. After participating, you can enjoy Android 13-based One UI 5 features.
Hey, folks, your wait is over now. Samsung has finally started the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta program for the Galaxy S22 series. Initially, Korean consumers are allowed to participate in the One UI 5 Beta testing activity, however, it will, later on, expand to other markets too.
Like last year, all the Galaxy S22 models sold by major South Korean carriers including SKT, KT, and LGU+ will be able to activate the One UI 5 Beta program with the help of the Samsung Members app. On the homepage, just tap the Notification icon, followed by opening the Beta banner, filling out the form, and completing the enrollment.
Shortly after the One UI 5 Beta registration, Samsung will push the Android 13 Beta upgrade for your Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, or S22 Ultra smartphone. You can check the OTA by going to the system Settings, scrolling down and tapping Software updates and finally hitting the Download and install button.
As the One UI Beta program will deliver an unreleased software version to your smartphone, you may face some unexpected bugs, errors and issues while using it. Therefore, it is recommended that do backup your important data to stay away from any kind of data loss while installing Beta firmware.
Inside the One UI 5 Beta registration banner shared by user, Samsung mentioned a list of apps that won’t be supported post Beta version installation due to compatibility issues. Therefore, don’t switch to a Beta build if you can’t stop using the listed apps.
