Samsung dropped the first One UI 5.0 Beta update for the Galaxy devices in three countries including the US, Germany, and South Korea. With the initial One UI 5.0 Beta, the company offered various new features and minor UI tweaks, as yet another spotted in the Notification panels’ Quick Settings toggle.

When the user swipes down from the homescreen once, the One UI 4.1 shows 6 Quick Settings toggle, while, there are just 5 toggles in the One UI 5.0 Beta. With the first Beta build, Samsung removed the sixth toggle from the first page of the notification panel.

Like other Android phones, Samsung devices have a similar notification panel with a two-step menu. If you swipe down the first time, the notification tray will appear showing you primary shortcuts and a large space for notifications. However, you can access all quick settings by swiping down 2nd time.

Currently, it’s difficult to say has Samsung reduced a toggle from the quick settings or if it happened due to the lack of codes in software development. If it’s a cause generated because of the development procedure, the company might bring the 6th toggle back with future One UI 5.0 Beta builds.

On the other hand, the company might have ditched the 6th quick settings toggle in order to enhance the usability by increasing the gap in between and slightly increasing the shape as well. What do you think about this significant change, should Samsung continue with 5 toggles or bring the ditched one back?
