Samsung introduced the first Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta for Galaxy S22 series to let the customers test new features and changes before public release. This version comes with a bunch of advanced features while many more to come with the upcoming beta versions.

Some of the most significant changes Samsung made with the new custom OS is for Calling. Samsung One UI 5.0 Beta comes with three amazing calling features including Quick call notes, a Custom caller background, and revamped mini pop-up UI.

Among these, the Quick Call Notes is the one I really loved. I mean what could be more helpful than having the Samsung Notes app open in front of you with a single click when you need to write notes while calling?

Samsung understands the urgency of writing something while calling, thus making it easy to create notes. Now you don’t need to search for a notepad and pen in a hurry or go back from the caller screen to open Samsung Notes app on your phone.

So, this feature has arrived with the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta update and I have noticed it on the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone that supports S-Pen. You might have also wondered whether this feature is only limited to devices with S-Pen support or will release for all One UI 5.0 devices.

Well, it looks like the Samsung One UI 5.0 Quick Call Notes feature is specified for Galaxy devices with S Pen support. But nothing can be clarified until the final release of One UI 5.0, however, if it is limited to S-Pen-supported phones, it makes sense.

S-Pen on Samsung devices comes with some additional Notes app features that regular Galaxy phones don’t have. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, is the most advanced smartphone that there would be no surprise if Quick Call Notes is limited to it only.

Anyway, if you are running Android 13-based One UI 50 beta on your Galaxy S22 Ultra phone and haven’t yet used this feature, give it a try, it’s truly excellent.

Just tap the three-dot menu, which you are on call, and then the last option that reads “Take notes”. A pop-up Notes page will appear and you can write whatever you want on it. Your notes will be saved as “Call with x”, where x is the name of the contact or their phone number.
