Samsung testing One UI 5.0 (Android 13) for Galaxy Z Fold 3
Samsung officially rolled out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update a week before its Galaxy Unpacked event. This beta update is currently live for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones while many other Galaxy devices will grab it shortly.

In a recent development, Samsung has started Galaxy Z Fold 3 One UI 5.0 update testing. However, there is no information on when the trial period will end and when it will be released officially.

Meanwhile, the company will soon release the beta version of One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 users, which will let customers test new features and changes so that the company can ensure its stability.

One UI 4.1.1 not coming?
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 One UI 5.0 update is under testing but does it mean that One UI 4.1.1 is not coming to the device? At this moment, nothing can be cleared.
Samsung has recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 4 with Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 OS and it can not be possible that Galaxy Z Fold 3 will receive One UI 5.0 ahead of Fold 4.
It may be possible that the company will release One UI 4.1.1 update for this device in the coming month and later it will start One UI 5.0 beta testing. There’s also a possibility that it will skip One UI 4.1.1 and directly reach the One UI 5.0 version.
The Fold 3 is eligible and highly anticipated for both Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 and Android 13-based One UI 5.0. Both new OSs have their own goodness and new features, whereas, they share some same new features as well.
Both One UI 4.1.1 and One UI 5.0 comes with advanced multitasking features that make users operate many apps at a single time on their large-screen device.
Additionally, there is Bixby Vision OCR (optical character recognition) integration with apps like Gallery, Camera, and Samsung Internet. So if the company skips One UI 4.1.1, the users won’t regret it.
