BETA 2: Samsung has now released the Android 13 based One UI 5.0 Beta 2 for the Galaxy S22 series phones in the US. The update bears build version ZVH4 and brings a handful of new features as well as fixes for various bugs and issues.

Initial story…

After Germany and South Korea, Samsung officially opened the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta program for Galaxy S22 series in the US, via RPRNA. For now, only the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are eligible for Beta testing in all the corresponding markets.

While the Korean tech giant has opened the One UI 5 Beta activity in the US, there’s no confirmation about per-carrier availability for the Galaxy S22 series. Consumers having unlocked models with T-Mobile carrier can install the Samsung Android 13 Beta firmware, reports 9to5Google.

Last year, T-Mobile and Sprint were the only US carriers that offered the One UI Beta program for their branded Galaxy devices. This year, things may remain the same. Customers of both USA carriers are likely to be eligible for the One UI 5 Beta program shortly.

Samsung One UI 5 Beta comes with a slew of new features and optimizations over the One UI 4.1. As it’s an initial build, the company may have reserved some features that will be released with future Beta updates to the Galaxy devices.

If you want to join the One UI 5 Beta program in the US, just open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy S22 series smartphone. Now, tap the Bell icon to expand notifications where you should see the One UI Beta Program registration banner.
