Samsung Expert RAW Custom Preset | New Feature Explained

Expert RAW is an app created by Samsung to enable powerful camera capabilities on flagship Galaxy smartphones. Using this app, Samsung phone owners can use Pro mode camera settings through every available lens. Recently, Samsung update added a new Custom Preset feature to the Expert RAW application.

With the 2.0.00.3 version update, Samsung delivered a new feature called Custom Preset to the Expert RAW app. The new feature helps users create and save a preset of custom settings such as ISO, shutter speed, exposure, focus and white balance.

Let’s discuss how to find, use, create and apply the Custom Preset feature in the Samsung Expert RAW app.

First of all, you need to make sure you are using the latest version of the Expert RAW app [2.0.00.3 or later] as the Custom Preset feature debuted with the 2.0.00.3 release. If you have a supported Galaxy smartphone, you can get the latest version of Expert RAW through our dedicated article.

Firstly, select your desired camera lens on the first interface of the Expert RAW, followed by tapping the hamburger menu, which is placed above the WB toggle.

Once done, you should see a newly added button (+), at the bottom left, which lets you create your own preset of camera settings.

Simply, tap on the (+) button to proceed with creating a Custom Preset. However, make sure, you are not using Auto settings, otherwise, the app will prompt you “Change manual settings.”

So, alter Auto settings with your Manual adjustments and finally press the (+) to create Custom Preset.

After pressing the + button, you will get a preview of camera settings that you are going to save as a preset.

After clicking on the Create button, Expert RAW will notify you that the preset of Custom Settings Created.

You can also Rename the Custom Preset that you created under the text limit. It will help you seamlessly switch between settings presets as per different camera sensors.

After creating a Custom Preset, you will see a new toggle as per the name of the preset so you can use it directly from the homescreen of the Expert RAW.
