Galaxy S20 FE 5G’s September 2022 security update released – Europe

After the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung is now rolling out the September 2022 security update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G smartphones in various European countries including Austria, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Baltic region, and the Nordic countries.

The update bears PDA build version G781BXXU4FVI1 and installs the most up-to-date Android patches as part of improving Galaxy S20 FE 5G’s system security, reports RPRNA. Currently, the owners of the 5G variant are receiving the September patch, however, it’s likely to be available for the LTE model soon.

Recently, the South Korean tech giant published September 2022 security patch release notes for Galaxy devices. The document suggests that the latest software update brings fixes for 21 high levels, and 3 moderate levels of CVEs, while, there is no critical level of CVE mentioned on the list.

Android 13’s coming!

Reminder: Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE with Android 10-based One UI 2.x software with the promise of major upgrades up to three years. The device already upgraded to Android 11 and Android 12, while eligible for the brand new Android 13-based One UI 5.0 as well.

How to update?

Firstly, open the system Settings, now scroll down, and hit the Software updates option. Once done, you should see a button entitled Download and install, just tap it and let your phone fetch a new OTA on Samsung’s server for your CSC and region.
