Check new Samsung One UI 5.0 App Icons (Android 13)
Samsung introduced the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 version earlier in August 2022 on the Beta channel, while seeded the Second Beta to the Galaxy S22 series two days ago. While the first One UI 5.0 Beta didn’t have any changes in icons, the second Beta introduced plenty of modifications in the segment.
A handful of stock One UI apps got reimagined icons with changes in design as well as painted in gradients from solid colors. We spotted changes in various stock app icons including Camera, Gallery, My Files, Phone, Messages, Settings, Calendar, and Calculator.

Let’s explore changes, specifically.
Samsung Camera
Compared to the One UI 4.1, the Samsung Camera app icon’s design is the same as the One UI 5.0 Beta, while it got elegant gradient color, from the solid Red.
Samsung Gallery
Samsung Gallery app features major changes in design with the One UI 5.0 version. While the colors of the leaves and background were White and Red in One UI 4.1, respectively, there are now swapped in the second One UI 5.0.
My Files
Similar to the changes applied in the Gallery app, the One UI 5.0 Beta swapped the element and background colors of the My Files app as well. One UI 4.1’s My Files app has a light Orange background with a White file icon, while the One UI 5.1’s My Files is just the opposite.
Samsung Phone
Compared to the Samsung Phone app icon we have in the One UI 4.1, the new One UI 5.0’s icon looks pretty beautiful with a new Green shade in gradient color fill.
Samsung Messages
In addition to gradient color, the Samsung Messages app’s chat bubble got circular corners, revamped from the rectangular bubble of One UI 4.1’s Messages app.
Settings
System Settings is one of the most used functions of any smartphone. For this app’s icon in One UI 5.0, Samsung applied a darker Gray color with the same gear size and design as the One UI 4.1.
Calendar
One UI 4.1’s Calendar app icon has another small element inside, which shows the latest date as per the phone’s Settings. It got major changes with One UI 5.0, as Samsung ditched that additional element, as part of increasing the size of the date font.
Calculator
Aside from applying gradient color, the One UI 5.0 and One UI 4.1’s Calculator app icon has no other changes.
