23 foldables including the first rollable phone launching in 2023: DSCC

Foldable devices are truly an innovation, from keypad smartphones to touch screens and now foldable, all about technology. As of now, we are in the year 2022 but a new report gives information about the foldable/rollable smartphones of 2023.

According to the Display market analyst Ross Young, 23 foldable devices will ship in the coming year including world’s first rollable smartphone. In addition to this, over 7 foldable notebooks will launch in 2023.

It is being said that the first rollable smartphone will launch by a Chinese brand, which will have a Korean panel means the panel will be provided by Samsung. A Chinese smartphone brand is anticipated to launch four different foldable smartphones next year.

The DSCC report indicates that foldable smartphone panel shipments have grown 12% to 17.7 million in 2022 and up 77% to 10 million in 2021. It is expected that foldable smartphone panel shipments will increase by 34% to 23.7 million next year.

In addition to this, the shipment of foldable/rollable smartphones is to be increased by half (17%) rate as compared to panel shipments in the year 2023. The new year will really be amazing for consumers as different foldable smartphones and notebooks come.
