Here’s how you can fix ‘screen blackening’ issue in Samsung One UI 5.0 Beta
Samsung has recently released the third and second One UI 5.0 Beta builds to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series smartphones, respectively. The company has now published a notice acknowledging the screen blackening problem in safe mode, spotted in latest One UI 5.0 Beta, alongside fixes for the issue.
According to the One UI Beta manager, there is a common problem spotted in the One UI 5.0 Beta firmware, which occurs screen blackening in case of sleep mode is activated. Moreover, the sleep mode is automatically activated if Beta participants access the clock sleep time.

The Beta operations manager pointed out that the sleep mode is getting activated on Galaxy devices running the One UI 5.0 Beta per se. Due to a functional bug, it occurs a screen blacking problem, making the smartphone not usable for some time.

How to fix Screen blackening:
In case you are also having similar issues on your Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S21 series phone, here is a quick tip so that you can get rid of the problem. To fix the issue, you need to press and hold the Volume down + Power key together for around 7 seconds so your Galaxy phone gets rebooted.
Once done, you should be able to access your phone to find and turn off the sleep mode from Settings. Now, access system Settings, tap the newly added Modes tab where you can see the Sleep as the first option, and tap on it as well.
Simply, press the button Turn off to disable Sleep mode, and prevent auto enable function. To do so, you need to tap the button entitled Turn on automatically, where you can get two options including sleep schedule and detected activity. Just turn off both options!
This procedure will surely fix your Galaxy smartphone’s screen blackening issue, while, you are required to send an error log immediately after facing the issue so the company can work on faulty areas and fix them with further One UI 5.0 Beta updates.

Next month, Samsung will unveil the new One UI 5.0 version at the Developer Conference. And we are dreaming that the company will start pushing the Stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy S22 series devices sometime in mid to late October.
