Samsung was late in releasing the September 2022 update for Galaxy devices. But this time around, Samsung grabbed its first place again by releasing the October 2022 Android security patch update before anyone else.

It’s September 26 today and Samsung has started rolling out the October 2022 Android security patch update for its Galaxy customers. The famous mid-range smartphone – Galaxy A52 became the world’s first device to install the next month’s security patch alongside the One UI 5.0 beta builds.

Yes, you read that right. Samsung has started the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program for Galaxy A52 customers in India. The device is not flagship by the price but its features and internals can easily compete with affordable flagship smartphones and that’s the reason it is worth installing the latest Beta update.

Coming back to the topic, Samsung provides its own custom OS for Galaxy devices known as One UI which is based on Google’s Android OS. Google Pixel smartphones obviously get the latest generation Android Operating System ahead of any other brand’s phones but Samsung always defeats Google Pixels when it comes to providing the most up-to-date security patch.

Samsung rolled out the September 2022 security patch for Galaxy devices on October 6, a bit later than usual. Still, Google started its September patch update rollout later than the Korean tech.

Meanwhile, Samsung is already letting its Galaxy customers install the October 2022 patch in the month of September and Google is far away, it will release the latest security patch for Pixels in the first week of next month.
