Samsung’s September 2022 security update is now making its way to yet another Galaxy device – the Galaxy S10 Lite. Initially, the company started releasing the latest Android security patch to the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone users in Spain, which will be expanded soon.

Owners of the Galaxy S10 Lite can identify the September 2022 security update through PDA version number – G770FXXU6GVH6. In addition to the September patch, the OTA brings improvements to system functions as well as installs new versions of a handful of stock applications.

As mentioned in the changelog, the S10 Lite’s September update brings new versions for various apps including Samsung Notes, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, Smartthings, Samsung Members, Samsung Wallet, and Calculator.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone with Android 10-based One UI 2.x out of the box. As per the company’s policy, the device is eligible for three generations of major OS upgrades, however, it has already received two.

Sometime later this year, the Galaxy S10 Lite users might receive the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 upgrade as their last major feature release. However, the company will continue to provide new security updates for another year, following its commitment of February 2021.
