Samsung serves September 2022 security update to Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the US

After the official launch in August, Samsung rolled out the first software update for Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphone users at installed the July 2022 security patch. Now after so long, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices have started getting the September 2022 security patch alongside a new update on Verizon’s network in the US.

With this firmware update, Samsung aims at enhancing the security of your phone to keep your data safe on your phone. It also boosts the stability of your phone in order to resolve issues like crashing, lagging, etc, and deliver users an uninterrupted performance.

Besides these optimization, the official changelog for this update does not mention any other changes. On the other hand. Samsung’s September 2022 patch details note various privacy and security-related resolved issues.

These vulnerabilities include 29 SVE items from Samsung One UI software and 21 high levels and 3 moderate levels of CVE items from Google Android OS. You might also notice a minor performance boost after bringing the fresh update to your device.

In the meantime, Samsung is preparing a major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 upgrade for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones. Luckily, the device is also eligible to test the beta version so if you face any issues you can ask Samsung to fix them before the stable release which will happen on October 12.

Anyway, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is getting the September 2022 security patch update that bears the One UI build version F721USQU1AVIA in the US. To download it, just head over to Settings of your phone followed by the Software update and Download and install option.
