Earlier, SafetyKorea certification revealed that the Galaxy S23 Plus will feature a larger battery compared to its prececessor. Now, tipster slashleaks revealed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus flagship will could be packed with a 4700mAh battery, 200mAh more capacity than the S22 Plus.

And it’s now confirmed, Samsung has started preparation for the Galaxy S23 series flagships that will be launched in early next year. In a recent development, an alleged battery of Galaxy S23 Plus bearing model number EB-BS916ABY appeared on the Safety Korea certification site.

The model number of that recently certified battery is EB-BS916ABY, which hints at its arrival with the Galaxy S23 Plus. Following the previous records, the Galaxy S23 Plus should have model number SM-S916B, while SM-S911B and SM-S918B for the standard Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra, respectively.
However, the Chinese firm ATL (Ningde Amperex Technology Limited) has manufactured the S23+’s battery. The same firm is making batteries for the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones as well.
It’s worth mentioning that Safety Korea is a South Korean agency that certifies batteries and the S23 Plus battery has also been certified by the same authority. By the way, the Korean certification doesn’t reveal the battery capacity and other details, time will tell what changes Samsung’s going to bring.
As per the previous reports, the Galaxy S23 series will be packed with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset worldwide. The Ultra model is rumored to be equipped with a massive 200MP camera sensor, while the display panels might be more improved and power efficient.
